You’ve got my vote America!

So here I sit at 4:30 AM just 2 1/2 hours before the polls open for election day, and I have to say I’m proud to be getting ready for this vote. Ron Paul is not on the ballot as I would like to see… There is still hope for America though. With Bob Barr on the ballot the voice of those who want to see change can still be heard!

I can understand all those people who have idolized the economy and standard of living of China and Russia, voting for Barack Obama because they would like to see our country hopeless, helpless, and heart broken… but that’s not the change I’m aiming for. If you are going to the polls to vote for Obama go ahead, I really think that the independent parties will gain some steam in this election. Hopefully a lot is built up for the Libertarian party. I don’t think as many do that Obama will make our country a socialist country as he would like, he’s going to get killed way before that point. There have already been hundreds of arrests and convictions of people with legitimate plots to kill the man, and he’s not even in office! So we don’t have to worry about the socialist America that Barack Obama would like to see… but I do believe things will get worse before they get better. The small percentage vote, hopefully more than 5% for the Libertarian party could make all the difference in the world for the next election.

The Government Can’t Give Me An Orgasm!

Rose and I were talking the other day about how silly this concept of the president actually ???‚¬?“running???‚¬?? the country is. We say it and hear it all the time, especially now in an election year there???‚¬?„?s debate going on all over about who should be running our country next. As we were laughing at the totally ridiculous notion that the government (even in a situation like Communism) even remotely controls what goes on in our daily lives she says ???‚¬?“Yeah, the government can???‚¬?„?t give me an orgasm!???‚¬??

We both had a good laugh at the statement. And I decided it was funny enough to put up as a blog entry. If you really look at things, people are best left to themselves. Governments like to take credit for everything, but in all honesty all they do is get in trouble. You have people who live thousands of miles away from you, in pretty shinny houses, who have not the slightest clue as to what your life is like trying to tell you how things should be for you, how you should accomplish your goals. It was made immediately clear to me that neither candidate up for office this year has any clue what it is like to fight for a living one day when I heard a speech from Obama. He was going on and on about his awesomeness, and how he can relate to the poor people when he said ???‚¬?“I???‚¬?„?ve been there, I???‚¬?„?ve had it hard, I know what it???‚¬?„?s like to have to eat pizza every night.???‚¬?? Hold up???‚¬?¦ right there???‚¬?¦ WTFPANCAKESAUCE? Pizza every night? How much money did you have? Jeez, I wish I had that kind of money???‚¬?¦ and if that was your ???‚¬?“poor???‚¬?? years???‚¬?¦ how much money do you have now? How much of the hundreds of millions of dollars that you???‚¬?„?ve raised for your candidacy have you used to help anyone? You???‚¬?„?ve shown the world that you know how to skirt the filters of how much money you can spend on campaign ads???‚¬?¦ but when are you going to show the world how much of a help you truly can be?

Naw, neither McCain nor Obama are any sort of blessing, neither one understands what life is, or what it is about. They don???‚¬?„?t get what it???‚¬?„?s like to make a living from blogging on $30-$50 a day, shoot man, a pizza costs $20 that???‚¬?„?s two thirds of my daily budget???‚¬?¦ I don???‚¬?„?t want either one of you running the country, I want all the small people scattered across this nation running their own country. I want the American people making decisions for themselves, not some president telling us we???‚¬?„?re too dumb to do things on our own so we have to do things his or her way. Bring on the revolution, bring on Ron Paul.

With their guns and drums, and drums and guns baroo! barooo!

I don’t know why I just woke up this morning with that song in my head though.?‚?  I can just see all of ‘em from Three Pints Gone up on stage singing about Johnny heartily as the audience joins in to sing “With their guns and drums, and drums and guns.?‚?  Baroo!?‚?  Barooo!” over and over.?‚?  That song just makes me want to fight…

Which actually reminds me that here soon I’ll have time to work on A2562!?‚?  It’s still going to be some time yet, I’m writing for it little by little so that I’ve got several weeks built up to start with.?‚?  I want to get ApplyMyWay launched first (which I just stayed up all night working on, and have VERY good progress on, should be functional by Friday, October 17).?‚?  Then I’ve also got to get an Oasis Community Church site going.?‚?  That shouldn’t take more than a week or maybe two though.

777

Call me superstitious if you will, but I am taking the drop in the stock market as a good sign. Everyone knows the whole 666 as the “Mark of the beast” which is actually the mark of man, but either way. It is that number because man was created on the sixth day… well because God rested on the 7th day less known is that 777 is also a common “Mark of the Christ”. Or if you’re a betting man old slot machines, and some modern ones, always displayed 777 for the jackpot.

So I think we’ll pull out of it. I mean, yeah, we’ve been looking at a depression looming, and a lot worse in some cases (possible invasion if there was any country left with money afterwards). But I don’t think it’ll happen. This may be the worst day point value drop in history, however, it is not the highest percentage drop in history. The 7% drop (hey, there’s our lucky 7 again) doesn’t even touch the 1987 drop of 22% and things weren’t that bad in 1987… I mean I’m not one to ask since I was born in 1986, but it wasn’t any sort of horrible depression.

When the House returns to vote on the bailout bill again by Wednesday it should pass… I mean it’s not like they’re just giving the $700 billion (Hey, more sevens) to the industry… our government is investing it, something that would be a good deal for our government to do more often. How would you feel if the Government got rid of the IRS and started making money in other business ventures? Wouldn’t you like to keep your entire paycheck? How about letting the government support itself? Last I heard NASA is the only government program that supports itself with the pattents they own and what not.

Truthiness - Ron Paul style

How do you know you can trust those who are upholding the laws??‚?  I think that’s one of the biggest problems with America today, and most certainly a defining factor behind our distrust for the government in general.?‚?  It’s the main reason why Ron Paul stood a chance to get into office.?‚?  We as a nation are tired of lies, deceit, and a pretty face to present those lies to us.?‚?  It’s about time we took action though.?‚?  I really wish that Ron Paul would run as a third party candidate, but he is not at the moment doing so.?‚?  As far as I see it we will be getting either McCain or Obama as president here for the next four years, and nothing will be changed with either (except more debt, more recession, more bailouts, and so on).?‚?  Ron Paul did make a statement a few nights ago though that speaks for truthiness, and what hope America does have.?‚?  I hope that Paul does run again for president in four years and that the endorsement of the four other third party representatives will go out to him in the effort of moving towards change.

It’s interesting what actually brought this up was something I’ve been fighting with over the last couple of weeks. I got a ticket a few weeks ago for going about 76 in a 70… granted it was over the speed limit and I’m really not complaining about the ticket. What I have a problem with is that the ticket was for going 81. The reason I sort of accepted the ticket at first was that the first time I drove Rose’s car (which I was driving at the time) I thought it was odd that a good percentage of people seemed to be traveling at 70mph which isn’t common on I-70 so I thought that maybe the speedometer was off. At this time I had forgotten that observation and was hovering around 75mph because we kind of needed to get home for a meeting I needed to be a part of with Viacom. The more I think about it though the less I accept the idea that I was going 81 though. First off the way the guy approached the car. Instead of the usual “Do you know why I pulled you over?” that you get from cops he simply says “You were going 81 in a 70 zone so I’m going to give you a ticket, can I see your license and proof of insurance?” Not that I’ve been pulled over a lot, but I every time I have they’ve always asked first even when I’m with anyone else there is the question first then the verification from the police officer.

The next thing that bugs me is that earlier today I took Rose to get her Diploma where they had one of those speed trap machines that tells you your speed as you pass. The speedometer said approximately 31mph where the speed trap thing said I was going 28mph. Which is a common occurrence with speedometers most car manufacturers make them so that they register a few mph faster than what you are really going so that you have leeway for different sized tires (as changing tire size for your car will also register different speeds, and mileage traveled). To be on the safe side most car manufacturers let you think you’re going faster than you really are as opposed to slower and getting yourself in trouble.

Rose was in the car with me and looked at the speedometer before I even did and saw that I was in fact going 75mph (or right at that range). I have no problem with paying for my wrong doings. It does bug me though if there was an embellishment simply because I was the only person in the fast lane and he could get away with it. I really should learn from my older brother Brook and start asking “May I see your radar gun?” if I’m pulled over again. The real problem comes in the idea that in order to get the ticket reduced I’d have to call in to make a court date, take the car to a shop and pay to have it inspected, then gamble on whether the ticket will be dropped or not. Then, if the shop finds out that the car is accurate and the cop lied what can you do? I wasn’t video recording the incident, I didn’t have my own radar setup with a time stamp or anything… what do you do when the system that is supposed to protect you is corrupt? They have all the power, they hold all the cards, and this will never change without a collective outcry for a better system.

Rock the Veto

A little Vote action RVB style! That’s right Red Vs. Blue is just as concerned with election day as you should be! In fact, maybe more so since they’re out there trying to get young people to vote. The message here is presented in a funny manor, but not voting is no laughing matter. If you don’t vote, you don’t complain. Personally in the up coming election I don’t care who you vote for, Rose and I like to joke about how we cancel each other out since I tend to vote Republican and she tends to vote Democrat (though we’ll both swing our vote the other way if the candidate from another part is better).

With that being said, I now present Rock the Veto to you from Red Vs. Blue:

An old friend

I’m actually out of my own free will promoting another website here! haha, I know, no one is paying me or anything. I guess you might say that I feel that I sort of owe it to Petition Online for all the valuable service they’ve provided over the years. They sort of seem like an old friend of mine, and I really hate to see them losing power! When I first started using PetitionOnline.com they were a PR7 and doing quite well! Over the years I’ve made 29 petitions myself… amazing to look back at them. Most were complete silliness in fact and I use them because you can add an option to put websites with your signatures so I use them for link quality back to my sites. In creating so many petitions I’ve also created a lot of content for them and they get money out of that so it’s really a win, win situation for us. Allowing URL’s in your signatures isn’t always a great idea, and I’ve started to advance my petition creating techniques to avoid spammers with forcing people to either agree or disagree with the petitions! It works out, and yet even with how few petitions I actually see that allow you to put links in your signatures they still get quite a few spammers, so I figure whatever I can do to get things out of the ordinary is a good thing.

Anyways, the reason I am really writing this is because Petition Online seems to of added a new feature! PetitionOnline.com is a small branch of Artifice Inc. From every aspect I look at it PetitionOnline.com has no bearings on the Artifice company, but I will give them credit for creating the site! Artifice, Inc. is an architecture company, I’ve never been exactly sure on what they do, but I believe they make CAD software, along with some other things relating to the business. So where do petitions come in? Quite simple, they give link quality! What better way of getting thousands of incoming links to your website than allowing other people to create the content for you? In the early days of Web 2.0 the concepts behind PetitionOnline.com are simply ingenious, and have even kept their strength through several evolutions of the net… but since PetitionOnline was doing it’s job, and it was not their main business it got neglected quite a bit with very few updates and slow at that. Because of this neglect the strength they once found in Petition Online has begun to dwindle a bit. The once iconic PR7 PetitionOnline.com has slipped all the way down to a PR5 even though Petition Online is stronger than they’ve ever been! The reason for this is simple, content is being spewed out on the net at an astronomical rate. Most of you don’t look at things this way but every article I publish on this site is a new page, every ten I publish is another new page, every different day I publish on is another new page, every tag I include is yet ANOTHER new page… which is partially why Petition Online did so good in the early days, they took advantage of this page creation early on. Every petition created was three new pages, every hundred signatures was another new page. This very much so helped out the spread of information for Petition Online, however others have caught on and things seem to be changing rapidly. For one I generally include a minimum of five tags per entry on this blog alone, that’s six pages created with every entry no matter what. The way that PR or Page Rank works is simple it takes the number of indexed pages that Google has online and gives you a rating based upon the number of pages that point to yours on average with the number of pages that point to other pages on the net… it also factors in the strength of those links. The people behind Petition Online finally got the drift though and have now added a feature that allows you to add tags to your petition. This feature will definitely increase the value of Petition Online again, only I fear it may be a slow process, which is why I am content with helping them out a bit with some incoming links and news articles to get people using their new feature.

I’m sure many of you have used or signed petitions on PetitionOnline.com and surely owe them a favor for hosting the site at the very least. I know with their addition of the FaceBook button a while back I’ve seen a number of petitions end up on Facebook as groups getting people to sign their petition, which is very much so a help, but it needs more. We’ve got to keep the free ideas marketplace alive!

Ron Paul - Still America’s Hope

Have I ever said that I like Ron Paul? Because it’s true, I really do! I so wish that our system of things wasn’t so screwed up that not the best candidate gets in, but the one who smiles prettiest, and spends the most money does. We don’t look at character anymore, we look for… heck I don’t even know, and I don’t think the rest of America knows what they look for in a presidential candidate either. Anyways, Ron Paul is still my man! Even though there’s no way he’d ever be president he’s definitely the only one who deserves it.

Pizza Hut supports Ron Paul?

Earlier today I was searching through Yahoo! News to see where Ron Paul took second at yesterday.?‚?  I have to admit that I didn’t know what state it was, I was in here playing a little bit of Counter Strike: Source when I heard Jordan and Zack who were watching TV freaking out.?‚?  I came out to see what all the comotion was about and saw that Ron Paul was in second place with 13% of the vote!?‚?  I was exctatic, and glad to put it here on my blog, but just didn’t know what state it was, so I had to look it up this morning.?‚?  Anyways, searching for Ron Paul it was the ads that most intrigued me:

Pizza Hut Supports Ron Paul

Right in the middle of the ones that came up was an ad for Pizza Hut!?‚?  I thought maybe they were just trying to capitalize on peoples loyalties to the candidates, but upon a search for all the other candidates there was no Pizza Hut ad.?‚?  So it still leaves me wondering, is there somebody at Pizza Hut who obviously has the money to run an advertising campaign like this who supports Ron Paul??‚?  Or are they playing off of the loyalties of the Ron Paul Revolution to make a quick buck??‚?  You decide… personally I’m more of a Papa Johns kind of guy, but I’d be willing to buy from Pizza Hut if they really are in support of Ron Paul… it’d be worth eating a terrible pizza to see Ron Paul get some corporate support.

Ron Paul Takes Second in Nevada

If you haven’t heard it already Ron Paul took a solid Second place in the Nevada Caucus.?‚?  Paul’s response to the place was “Millions of people have heard this message and this is why coming in second is very great, it sends a great message,” then he went on to comment about the South Carolina primary where he took fifth.?‚?  Ron Paul taking second place has finally got him mentioned in the mainstream media as well!?‚?  I can only imagine how much more powerful Ron Paul’s message will get across now that more people than just those of us looking for and promoting him will be now.?‚?  Now we’ll see if my theory is correct, or even close, but I’ve been predicting that if Paul could get some solid mainstream media time and reached people beyond the internet crowd his message would quickly rise and get him to winning some caucuses and primaries.?‚?  We’ll see how this plays out in the long run, but I sure as heck hope some other people take notice of this and move some of their wasted votes for people such as Giuliani to Mr. Paul.

Those of you reading my blog for the first time who might not (or even if you are) support Ron Paul might read my stance on why I support Ron Paul.?‚?  It’s worth a read even if you’re not going to be convinced, and will give you some insight to what I’m thinking with this.?‚?  It’s much beyond most peoples love of Ron Paul’s tax plans, militaristic views, etc.
