Welcome to the West Wing

Well if you have been looking for The West Wing complete box set it has finally arrived! Get all the action of all four seasons of The West Wing as you go inside the lives of those who work with and around the President of the United States of America or POTUS if you’d like. Of course it is a fictional president, and they’re not out to screw over the country as they prop up their rich friends like most of the recent presidents we’ve had… so it’s very hard to believe. But it’s a decent entertainment show.

A prestigious, award-winning drama series like The West Wing deserves first-class treatment on DVD, and the Complete Series Collection really delivers the goods. Like the series itself, the packaging is first-class all the way. The entire DVD set is held in a dossier file box, with a faux-leather navy blue exterior graced with an embossed silver-foil presidential seal and a magnet-sealing flap that neatly closes the lid with no visible latches or clasps. The 45 DVDs are held in seven individually tabbed and numbered fold-out files (one for each complete season) with a pocket for each DVD and West Wing cast members pictured on each fold-out file. (In addition, the DVDs themselves are labeled with a photo of the entire primary cast.) And while the audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes, gag reels, and other DVD extras remain the same from the previous individual-season DVD sets, the glossy, lavishly illustrated episode guide is exclusive to this set, and it’s a convenient one-stop source for specific episode information. Also exclusive to this set is Aaron Sorkin’s Emmy-nominated teleplay for the pilot episode, along with a new foreword by Sorkin detailing the genesis of the series from concept to casting. You can bet that Sorkin and his West Wing colleagues are pleased with the overall presentation of this full-series collection; it’s durable, impressively stately without being ostentatious (like President Jed Bartlet himself), and guaranteed to look great on any bookshelf.

Completing the adventure

No adventure is complete without the right tool for the job. If I had a dollar for every time I went out on the trails with my bike and ended up walking home… I’d probably have $10 by now, which would get me close to being able to buy a multi-tool that could get me out of a lot of situations. If you go by the theory that time is money, and assume even minimum wage, I’d be able to buy fifty multi-tools to save my butt from having to walk home with the time I’ve spent in the past walking home after an epic rock, or sweet jump ruined the rest of my ride.

Hornet issues

I think I’m gonna dress up in a guilly suit, paint my face, mask my scent… and camp out in my vines tomorrow… Dang hornets are making it their home! Had one I noticed a while back, got some good hornet spray (seriously, it has a 47,000 volt dielectric breakdown so not only does it poison them it stuns them for instant takedown. Normally I’m not big on the chemical sprays, I like my lemon grass as a general kill all for pesky bugs… but I’ve used lemon grass oil on wasps before and while it makes it difficult for them to fly, they can still get away, or sting you before they die… they always die, but not fast enough for tough bastards like these hornets). Finally got him, I saw him (actually probably her because it was much larger than the one left) flying around from inside the house so I went outside and was able to blast it mid air as it was trying to dive bomb me (It saw me coming around the corner and perched on the top of one of the vines… it buzzed its wings when I moved closer, then as I was looking around for it, it jumped about 10-15 feet in the air and dropped at me, took a second to get the spray stream lined up, but as soon as it touched the devil bird it hit the ground)… spray worked very well knocked it right out of the sky. There’s another one digging holes under my brick tiles… but this one is more aggressive, faster, and watches me closely. It’s usually gone just as I spot it… I know they’re hunting the cicadas which wouldn’t bother me, actually that’s quite nice! But it’s my garden damnit! Quit attacking me!!!

Disclaimer, the spectracide is what I used, the other looks promising, but I didn’t find it until afterwards. Looks much better than some of the lemon grass oil sprays I’ve used before.

Datacolor DC S3EL100 Spyder 3 Elite

As I move more into the realm of professional work online… especially with creating graphics, websites, and 3D models it has become very important to have properly calibrated equipment. Running dual monitors is almost a must in my line of work… it increases work flow so much so that anyone NOT running dualies quickly falls behind. It has even increased my efficiency while blogging! Anyways, there are some times when I make the switch to “professional” equipment… and other than the 200% increase in price I can’t quite for the life of me figure out what the real advantage of the product is! The Datacolor DC S3EL100 Spyder 3 Elite is not one of those items. It allows me to adjust my mis-matched monitors to the PERFECT color and clearity! The light is adjusted to the amount of light in my office, and I can save multiple settings to quickly switch between daytime and nightime light levels for my work. As a web designer, and a father I often work at night (because fewer people are online, and that’s when my son is asleep so he doesn’t bug me as much and I can play with him more when he’s awake)

Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

The Dyson DC25 Ball is a favorite among many of my customers. Dyson really is quickly becoming one of the most affordable mid to high end vacuum manufacturers on the market. And I can generally recommend them to most people who vacuum more than once a month as they will pay for themselves over time. A Dyson isn’t all shine and glamor though, they do require a small amount of work to keep them running like new. Luckily unlike many cheaper brands they can be kept running because they are durable enough to be serviced. Dyson really became famous with their commercials that claimed that they never lose suction. While this is true, it’s kind of tricky advertising. A Dyson never loses suction at the motor, but it can clog and lose suction long before it arrives at the motor. What Dyson is referring to when they say that their vacuums never lose suction is actually their system of multiple suction points. Even their large upright vacuums suction line from the motor splits into several smaller suction points before reaching the dirt cup. This design is ingenious as it not only allows for one port to clog leaving the others free but it truly does create more suction. As we learned in science class fast flowing fluids creates low pressure, and low pressure is what we perceive as suction in a vacuum. So the idea of necking down the suction tubes to smaller tubes creates very fast moving air, in turn making a huge low pressure zone, for more suction than your average vacuum. The bad thing about this design is that while it gives several bypasses for clogs it aids in the clogging process with smaller easier to clog tunnels the dirt can potentially travel into. You should watch out for this if you decide to purchase a Dyson.

The overall rating on this vacuum is brought down by the price. The cheapest I’ve seen one of these is for $400 and some places sell them for much more. While it is a good vacuum it’s no Kirby when it comes to longevity, versatility, and pure suction power. Sure you couldn’t touch a new Kirby for $500 but many used Kirby’s sell right in that range. If you’re looking for a good vacuum and don’t mind minimal maintenance between cleanings and don’t want the weight of a used Kirby then this Dyson DC25 is where you should look.

Well the Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review is my last Dyson review for a while that I’ve done. But if you enjoyed this Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review there are a great many other reviews available on my vacuum cleaner reviews site! The Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak as I review all sorts of makes and models of vacuum cleaners.

HUGO BOSS Men’s Cotton Boxer Brief Op 3 Pack

My wife thinks I need some new boxers… not like I disagree, I think the newest pair I’ve got is uh… 8 years old. I know what I like though, and I want my boxers to be comfortable. So checking around I think these HUGO BOSS Men’s Cotton Boxer Brief Op 3 Pack are the way to go for comfort! Seems like nothing but positive reviews for the HUGO BOSS Men’s Cotton Boxer Brief Op 3 Pack on Amazon, and for a 3 pack that’s not so bad. I nearly needed to change my boxers at first when I saw the price, but then when I realized it was for a 3 pack of Hugo Boss Men’s Cotton Boxer Briefs I settled down.
