As I move more into the realm of professional work online… especially with creating graphics, websites, and 3D models it has become very important to have properly calibrated equipment. Running dual monitors is almost a must in my line of work… it increases work flow so much so that anyone NOT running dualies quickly falls behind. It has even increased my efficiency while blogging! Anyways, there are some times when I make the switch to “professional” equipment… and other than the 200% increase in price I can’t quite for the life of me figure out what the real advantage of the product is! The Datacolor DC S3EL100 Spyder 3 Elite is not one of those items. It allows me to adjust my mis-matched monitors to the PERFECT color and clearity! The light is adjusted to the amount of light in my office, and I can save multiple settings to quickly switch between daytime and nightime light levels for my work. As a web designer, and a father I often work at night (because fewer people are online, and that’s when my son is asleep so he doesn’t bug me as much and I can play with him more when he’s awake)
