Taking a break from the vacuum cleaner world
It has been my experience that once you start to dwindle in traffic it’s best to take a step back and let the search engines do their job. I’ve added over 20 something reviews in the last week to YourVacuumGuy.com and originally was having amazing success in doing so! Especially with the blogging effort that went along with that. But now things have slowed way down! Originally I thought it was because of the 4th of July, so I kept going thinking things would pick up after the holiday, but now 2 days later traffic continues to drop. So I’m taking a step back, saving the hundred or so Amazon.com vacuum cleaner pages that I have open as bookmarks and going to come back to do the same thing here in 3 months after the search engines have thoroughly spidered the website and all the other websites attached. Once the backlinks are solidly established and traffic starts coming back in about 3 months I’ll add 20 to 30 new reviews blogging about them yet again to let the SE’s pick up traffic during the Holiday shopping season. Then do it yet again for the Spring Cleaning season… heck I think the major off season of the summer and how much traffic I was able to pick up during a slow time should be a testament to how effective this technique can be. Just imagine how things will go down once we have this campaign solidified and I begin the next campaign again during a peak season? Since my competition in the vacuum cleaner reviews world haven’t updated their websites in the 3 years that I’ve been doing this I think I can leap past them with a bit of a sneak attack
For now I’m going to work on something that I’ve wanted to work on for years now that I’ve got more experience in Blender I can start that process better, and also with a better grip on CakePHP I think the A2562 may become a reality soon… I was wanting to do something with the AgapeBeacon site… but I don’t even know where to go with that I’ve got so many ideas and they are so scattered. I will definitely get to work on it at some point, the original goal was to use A2562 to learn some major skill sets in Blender and CakePHP so that I could make AgapeBeacon awesome… so for now I’m sticking to that plan hopefully I can get a bit of a crew together with A2562 also so I won’t be working alone on AgapeBeacon I think that’s my biggest set back… I never have backup on these sites, even the ones that I start with someone else (Jordan, my dad) they always back out from the plan before we make it to anything. Wouldn’t mind starting a joint venture with Jordan, but he’d have to stick with it for once…
