Inspiration

Recently several of my sites have been picking up business.  Partially because of some advertising dollars I’ve put into it, partially because of some lucky breaks with Petitions For Change, and partially because I’ve added advertisements back to old sites that have been ad free for a couple years now (since Yahoo shut down their ad program).  So now getting back on track feels good… I can finally watch my advertisement pages get updated by the hour instead of the weeks or months that I was becoming accustomed to.  Bike riding season is also coming up… which is always inspiring to me… even if it’s very difficult to get out with Connor and Rose to take care of.  Either way something has lit a fire under mah booteh, and it’s been very good.  I’ve finally cut 5lbs got a lot more to go, but I think it helped a lot that Rose was gone for 10 days to Haiti, without her “But I put it on the calender” (Rose has this weird thing where she thinks that something on the calender means that it will get done) driving her around everywhere (I generally put between 350 and 400 miles on the car each week with Rose here) I was able to do more than wait on her every moment which gave Connor and I the ability to get out and get some exercise.  I built a new desk that allows me to work more efficiently, as previously mentioned I woke up several of my sites that were previously dead or dying, and I’m very excited for riding season… of course it’s going to kill me the first few rides since it’s been nearly two years since I’ve had a good ride… but I’m determined to get out and go often this year.

I’m also determined to make enough from my sites by next riding season to be able to purchase one of these ( http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/mountain_full_suspension/fuel_ex/fuelex97/ ) A full suspension carbon fiber frame Trek.  I’ve read a lot of reviews about this years Fuel EX series both the Carbon Fiber frames and the Aluminum frames and everyone is saying that they are a beautiful all around mountain bike.  The frames are stiffer than they have ever been, the dual stage shocks they’ve added allow for a pleasant stable ride that can also absorb big drops, logs, and take on most any down hill course also the lockout feature makes the trip up hill a breeze with no energy being lost into the suspension as you attempt your ascent.  I’m gonna have to either get Rose to watch Connor or start getting a regular baby sitter but I AM getting out for some long rides this year and next.  And I am going to hit the trails again, I haven’t been to some of the better mountain bike trails around here in a very long time.  Unfortunately getting a new bike (whether it be the $1,800 Fuel EX5, or the upper end aluminum frame the $2,400 Fuel EX8 or my dream the carbon fiber $3,700 Fuel EX 9.7) it’s going to take a lot of dedication, inspiration, and consistency on my part.  Besides just getting myself in shape to be able to ride hard on a trail again I need to make the money to pay for it with my sites… which will take a lot of work even through the dead seasons in the summer when I won’t see the results until shopping season before Christmas.  I also need to get more people to those sites… which by my estimation in order to get the kind of traffic and over all funding for my excursion into the carbon fiber frame world will take a minimum of $1,200 advertising dollars over a 6 month period.  But I’m tired of being stuck in this house getting fat and lazy because all I’m allowed to do is take care of Rose and Connor… So let the hard work commence, next year I want to be at Tiffany Springs bike park taking on 15ft down hill drops on my new Fuel EX 9.7
